Health Care led by providers.

Silver Lake Psychology stands as a woman-owned enterprise led entirely by a team of women, and it has rapidly expanded into a comprehensive mental health network spanning four states. Dr. Brandy Engler, a psychologist and accomplished author renowned for her books “The Men on My Couch” (Berkley Books) and “The Women on My Couch,” serves as the Founder of Silver Lake Psychology.

Driven by the remarkable success of her literary works, Dr. Engler initiated a group practice to address the overwhelming demand for her services. She envisioned a corporate culture founded on her expertise in relationships, emphasizing empathy, empowering clients to have a voice in their treatment, and fostering inclusivity.

New clients are welcomed with open arms, their unique stories are attentively heard, and their therapists are thoughtfully selected. During the early stages, Dr. Engler devoted her evenings to seeing clients and dedicated her daytime hours to addressing inquiries from prospective clients. This hands-on approach allowed her to deeply engage with the community, comprehending their therapy needs and the barriers they encountered when seeking mental health care.

This profound connection with the community led to the establishment of a client-centric company that now boasts affiliations with hospitals and universities. Silver Lake Psychology offers an impressive array of 120 different therapy specialties and provides therapy services in 17 different languages, ensuring clients’ diverse needs are at the forefront of its mission.

Our Mission

Rather than creating the high-end, exclusive practice like other successful therapist-authors, Dr. Engler chose to create a practice that was accessible to everyone. She focused on making the boutique-therapy experience, replete with well-trained therapists and fashionable offices, accessible to more people. The group became successful by recruiting a diverse range of therapists to join her team, offering evidence-based care and accepting insurance. As a result, Silver Lake Psychology attracted a diverse range of clients from celebrities to low-income clients.

Industry-Leading Customer Service

Through attentive listening to the community, Dr. Engler recognized a notable absence of customer-oriented service in mental health care. Consequently, she directed her efforts towards crafting an intake team centered on empathy. This team underwent a rigorous communication training regimen to ensure a compassionate and inviting introduction to the realm of mental health care. The exceptional customer service offered by Silver Lake Psychology garnered recognition in ShoutOut magazine.

Thoughtful Matching

One issue frequently encountered in numerous sizeable healthcare institutions is the risk of sacrificing personalized care, as they may inadvertently treat clients like mere numbers, assigning them to any available therapist.

In order to preserve the personalized, high-quality client service, Dr. Engler embarked on a research initiative, conducting surveys involving hundreds of clients. The aim was to discern clients’ expectations and any dissatisfactions they may have had with therapy. Grounded in this extensive research, Dr. Engler devised a therapist-client matching procedure carefully tailored to attain the most suitable client-therapist matches.
